PWC Personal Trainers

Matthew Probst, CPT, MES Matt founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of The Shady Springs Group for 12 years. Subsequent to selling three of four divisions of the company, Matt has held positions with various companies including Corporate Controller for RMS Investment Corporation, a Commercial real estate management company and Chief Financial Officer for Martin Designs, a stationary importing and wholesale distribution business. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron and has completed the necessary requirements for a real estate certificate. Upon completion of college Matt spent 3 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Company’s Middle Market Advisory Services Group. The group specializes in the auditing and management consulting of startup and growth oriented business including the initial public offering process with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Together With Mike Gromofsky, he founded Personalized Wellness Center January in 2005 and holds a personal training certification accredited by The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Additionally Matt has attained a Medical Specialist Designation awarded by the American Academy of Health, Fitness & Rehab Professionals.

Kimberly Read, CPT – Fitness Director Kim graduated from the University of Akron in 1993 with her BS in Elementary Education. She holds her Group Fitness Certification, Kickboxing Certification and an Indoor Cycling Certification with AFAA.  Kim has had extensive training and is certified in High Intensity RenEx Exercise. Kim leads a variety of group fitness classes, semi-private functional training sessions as well as independent private training sessions every week.  She develops and implements many of PWC’s training procedures and assists in managing client fitness goals and relationships.  Kim is an AdvoCare nutritional coach to many clients.  When not at the gym, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two boys, Garrett and Brandon and enjoys watching them play football and baseball. Her personal interests are strength training, water skiing, snow skiing and home renovations.

​Kristine Tecca, BSKristine graduated from Ball State University with her MS in Exercise Physiology and earned her BS degree from the University of Mount Union in Exercise Science. She is a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine. She grew up playing basketball, soccer and softball but has since retired and now is an avid runner and has completed three half marathons. When not at the gym or running, Kristine enjoys cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians and Browns, cooking and spending time with family, friends and dogs.

Marlys Martter

​Marlys Martter – Pilates Reformer

Marlys holds a Bachelor of Science from Kent State University.  She worked at Summa Health Systems for over 40 years as a medical technologist MT (ASCP) primarily in Immunology.  Marlys has taught Pilates for over 16 years starting at the Tom Smith Studio before joining Personalized Wellness Center.  Her training includes seminars with Julian Littleford, J.L. Body Conditioning San Diego, CA, Alan Hordman, Alan Hordman Pilates London, England and Tom McCarty, White Cloud Studio, Cleveland Ohio.  When traveling, Marlys has taken classes  with notable instructors in Napa, Atlanta and Chicago.  Her goals are to help students develop and build flexibility, strength and a strong core using a series of exercises that incorporate mind and body through concentration and control.  She offers reformer and barre classes customizing routines for students’ needs and personal goals.
