Matt founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of The Shady Springs Group for 12 years. Subsequent to selling three of four divisions of the company, Matt has held positions with various companies including Corporate Controller for RMS Investment Corporation, a Commercial real estate management company and Chief Financial Officer for Martin Designs, a stationary importing and wholesale distribution business.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron and has completed the necessary requirements for a real estate certificate. Upon completion of college Matt spent 3 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Company’s Middle Market Advisory Services Group. The group specializes in the auditing and management consulting of startup and growth oriented business including the initial public offering process with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Together With Mike Gromofsky, he founded Personalized Wellness Center January in 2005 and holds a personal training certification accredited by The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Additionally Matt has attained a Medical Specialist Designation awarded by the American Academy of Health, Fitness & Rehab Professionals.

Kim graduated from the University of Akron in 1993 with her degree in Elementary Education. She is certified in RenEx High Intensity Exercise Protocol and has been certified through AFAA to instruct large group fitness classes with specialties in indoor cycling and kickboxing. She also is a certified Silver Sneakers Foundations Instructor.
Acting as PWC’s Fitness Director she assists in developing and implementing company procedures and protocols. She is also responsible for the continuing education and professional development of our Personal Trainers so that we may provide our clients with consistency, quality, efficiency and safety when implementing client workouts based on individual needs and goals.
In addition to her role as Fitness Director, she continues to provide Private Training, FIT Training as well as provides instruction for various Fusion Fitness large group exercise classes.
When not at the gym, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two sons, Garrett and Brandon and enjoys watching them play football and baseball. Her personal interests are running with her dogs, strength training, water skiing, biking and traveling.

Michele has been leading large group fitness classes since 1999. She has been certified through Bally’s, AFAA as well as ACE. She also holds certificates with Kettlebell Concepts for Levels 1 & 2 Kettlebell Training as well as BOSU, Urban Rebounding and Resist-A-Ball.
Michele became a FIT Trainer with Personalized Wellness Center three years ago. She has been working in our semi-private training sessions helping clients with form, modifications and progressions in an effort to keep clients engaged and safe in our program.
Exercise and strength training have been a huge part of Michele’s life for many years. She enjoys sharing the love of fitness by motivating the clients in her sessions and classes. .
Michele has been married for 24 years, has 2 children and a third grandchild on the way.

Marlys Martter holds a degree from Kent State University and served as an Immunology Medical Technologist for Summa Health Systems for over 40 years.
For the last 20 years Marlys has helped customize routines for clients of all ages and fitness levels develop flexibility, build strength and use the mind/body connection to work through a series of concentrated and controlled movements.
Marlys began teaching Reformer Pilates at The Tom Smith Studio before joining Personalized Wellness Center.
She has attended training seminars with well known Pilates Instructors such as: Julian Littleford with J.L.Body Conditioning in San Diego, California; Alan Hardman with Alan Hardman Pilates in London, England, and Tom McCarty with White Cloud Studio in Cleveland, Ohio. She also belongs to a professional pilates organization which helps her keep her practice fresh and current.
When traveling Marlys enjoys taking classes with notable instructors. Some of her favorites include Napa, CA; Atlanta, GA and Chicago IL.

Jen has a bachelors degree from The Ohio State University along with a masters in Sports Medicine from the University of Akron. She’s been a certified athletic trainer since 2000, and has worked with The University of Akron men’s soccer, football and track teams as well as in a physical therapy clinic setting.
Jen has taught step aerobics, kickboxing and provided personal training for clients preparing for bodybuilding competitions as well as clients who are looking for general weight loss.
Jen has competed and won overall figure competitions in the NPC at the National level. When not at the gym, she works in Cardiopulmonary rehab and enjoys cheering on her husband who currently competes in bodybuilding contests.
BA Akron University
Jordan Paul was born and raised in the City of Zanesville, Ohio. He moved north after accepting an athletic scholarship from The University of Akron to join the Track and Field team as a thrower. He specialized in throwing shot put, discus, and hammer and helped his team win five indoor/outdoor MAC Championships. Jordan went on to graduate UA in 2014 with a Bachelors of Art degree in Art Education and Magna Cum Laude Honors.
Even though Jordan no longer competes competitively, he has continued his passion of working in the weight room. Jordan combines knowledge from his teaching experience and his athletic career to motivate others on achieving their own athletic and fitness goals through coaching and personal training.
Jordan has been a member of Personal Wellness Center since the Winter of 2017 and joined the PWC team as a trainer in the Spring of 2018. Jordan finds helping people reach their personal fitness goals to be very rewarding. Holding himself and his clients to standards of hard-work and discipline, he is a firm believer that great things can be accomplished with a little sweat and determination.

Lizzie has been instructing at PWC since 2010 and has a passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. She holds her group fitness certification with AFAA and loves engaging her classes with great music and high intensity workouts. Lizzie enjoys exploring new fitness trends, teaching TurboKick, and welcoming people to try out something new! Outside of the gym, you can find her spending time with her family, volunteering at church, or trying new recipes.

Nikki Joy has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She holds her High Intensity Personal Training Certification along with her Group Exercise Certification with AFAA. She teaches many types of group exercise classes along with training private and semi private clients. Her passion is helping others reach their health and fitness goals. When not working at the gym she enjoys spending time with her 3 children Haylee, Jaxon and Denny.

Dana graduated from The University of Akron will a degree in Radiologic Technology in 1993 and then went on to further her education and career and became a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer. She holds her High Intensity Personal Training as well as Group Fitness certifications. When she is not working at the gym she enjoys spending time with her busy family. She has been married to Walt for 16 years and together they have 4 daughters, Sienna, Olivia, Mya and Eliana.

Katie graduated from Kent State University in 2011 with a degree in Exercise Science and also holds certifications in TRX and Fitness Nutrition.
Katie has worked with all ages as well as fitness levels in her training career. She spent time working in a mobile unit at Camp Lejeune military base where she would lead special training sessions with our Marine Corps and also serve as the lunch time Group exercise instructor.
Katie has also worked with children and older adults in the areas of fitness, swimming and nutrition. Katie serves as one of PWC’s Transformation Coaches to help clients set and meet their health and wellness goals. While Katie loves a good work out, she also enjoys spending time with her husband Josh, son Brantley and the rest of her family in her free time.

Jennifer Judy Fyffe (aka JJ) has long been an outspoken advocate and teach of group exercise for 25 years. Her focus is primarily spinning and muscle classes. Through the years, she taught Hi/Lo, Kwando, step, Yoga, Bootcamp, MuscleFlex, Urban Rebounding, and hip hop while also being a part of the Bally’s Fitness Team. She is passionate about the benefits of cross training and staying active. It would not be surprising to see her running in a marathon or joining yoga classes to cross train. She currently holds a certification with A.C.E Group Exercise, YogaFit, and Spinning®.
J.J. leads a challenging, athletic, and high-energy class that leaves you feeling powerful, invigorated and lit from within.
USAW L-1 Sports Performance Coach and Crossfit Level 1
Josh Kane has been a full time personal trainer since 2016. His passion for the industry has led him into working with clients one on one as well as in small and large groups. He hetakes pride in serving others and helping them achieve their health and fitness goals.
Josh is a USAW L-1 Sports Performance Coach and also holds his Crossfit Level 1 certification.
Josh’s passion is assisting clients with functional assessments and working with them to help strengthen imbalances and weaknesses. All of his client workouts are designed around his functional assessment results in an effort to help relieve chronic pain as well as to keep clients safe in the gym, because consistency is key in staying healthy and achieving goals.
In his many years of serving clients, he has learned that no one cares about how much you know until they know how much you care.
